Tire Service in Harvey, LA

Your tires are the only part of your car, truck, SUV, or minivan that meet the surface you are driving on, and those surfaces can be rough on your tires even if it is a paved road. You can hit potholes, glass, nails, screws, or other debris on the road that can wreak havoc on your tires. When your tires are damaged, you are not going to get very far. Fortunately, if you live in Harvey, New Orleans, or Metairie, you can get complete tire service at Premier Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM of Harvey.

Bring or tow your car in and let our technicians inspect your tires to see what needs to be done to get you back on the road safely. Driving on bad tires can damage your rims and suspension, which will lead to greater expenses later.

Available Tire Services to Drivers Near New Orleans

Our full-service garage is staffed with well-trained technicians that know how to care for your tires to serve you better. Some services offered include:

  • Tire Repairs-If your tires have been punctured, we may be able to patch them, providing they still have good tread depth and are not over ten years old. If your tires are still in good condition despite the road hazard damage, we can likely repair them with a patch or a plug. Bear in mind that not all tire damage is able to be patched if the puncture is too large or in the wrong location.
  • Tire Replacement-If we are unable to repair the tire damage, we can take care of the problem with tire replacement. Even if you never get a flat tire, your tires will eventually wear out. Tread wears down from the impact with the road, suspension or misalignment causes uneven wear, and other problems can develop. Generally, tires wear out between 25,000 and 50,000 miles, depending on the vehicle, the driving patterns, the brand of the tires, or the climate in the region you drive in. Other tires can last for 70-80,000 miles or even longer.
  • Balancing, Rotation, and Alignment-When you make it a practice to schedule regular wheel alignments, you extend the life of your tires because they wear more evenly. The same rule applies to balancing and rotation. All three practices can extend the life of your tires and save you money in the long run. It is recommended you have tire rotation and wheel balancing about every 5,000 – 7,000 miles. A good rule of thumb is every time you get an oil change, you have your tires rotated and balanced. Alignments should be checked about every 6,000 miles or twice a year just to ensure your wheels are evenly aligned and to further extend the life of your tires.
